OVERVIEW:
APL Logistics is seeking talented students to join us in our Global Marketing organization for a 12-week summer internship.
You will be working with the Communication team on our SharePoint migration project, helping to develop training videos/guides, as well as design assets. As an intern, you will be exposed to global teams, new tools and technologies, and the logistics industry.
Talented individuals will be part of a cross-functional team that are passionate and excited to create impactful internal communications.
Responsibilities:
Standardize site look & feel. Help implement SharePoint page templates, navigation conventions (hub/quick‑launch), and metadata/term store tags so departmental content is discoverable and branded consistently.
Support the SharePoint migration as a project coordinator. Help inventory department sites, track tasks/milestones, update status, and chase blockers across global time zones; partner with site owners and content owners to prep content for migration and post‑go‑live clean‑up.
Design internal communication pieces. Draft news posts and announcements.
Create reusable content assets. Produce on‑brand banners, infographics, short videos, and presentation slides to support communication messages.
Contribute to training & onboarding. Draft quick‑start guides, short how‑to videos, and cheat sheets for new site owners and contributors.
Measure adoption and engagement. Track basic SharePoint/communications metrics (news views, asset downloads, email click‑through, time‑to‑publish), summarize insights, and recommend tweaks to content/design cadence.
Collaborate cross‑functionally and globally.

Strong writing and editing skills with a clear, approachable, professional tone.
Organization and project coordination. Able to manage task lists, follow up with stakeholders, capture decisions, and keep workstreams moving across time zones.
