Grant Writer (Contractor)

Behavioral Crossroads, LLC is looking for a Grant Writer (Independent Contractor) with experience writing behavioral healthcare grants to support our clients in recovery!

The Grant Writer will play a pivotal role in securing funding for behavioral health and human services providers through successful grant writing while demonstrating expertise in crafting compelling proposals for state and federal funding notifications that follow closely on each client’s statement of need, strategic plan, and best evidence-based and evidence-informed practices. This position will be mostly remote, but may require some in-office scheduled meetings in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Pay range is between $25-$65 per hour.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Demonstrate success in grant writing for state and federal funding notifications targeting behavioral health and human services, collaborating with agencies such as SAMHSA, DOJ, and other relevant entities
• Collaborate with agencies such as SAMHSA, DOJ and others to optimize funding opportunities
• Liaise with diverse stakeholders, ensuring clear and persuasive communication
• Leverage your management and program development experience in behavioral health, addiction recovery, or human service delivery to shape impactful initiatives
• Showcase a highly organized approach, working efficiently within deadlines and under pressure

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in social work, psychology, education, public administration, public health, or a related field preferred
• Demonstrate specific expertise in working in mental health care or addiction recovery
• Implement innovative, evidence-informed interventions within a human service agency
• Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively articulate complex ideas and proposals
