Aldrich Solutions, LLC is Aldrich’s advisory and consulting business, partnering with organizations to solve meaningful problems through strategy and business consulting, technology and data enablement, cybersecurity and risk services, and organizational design and change management. We help leaders align vision to execution—bringing structured thinking, practical plans, and high-quality deliverables that enable decisions, action, and measurable outcomes.
At Aldrich, our mission is to improve the lives of our people, clients, and communities. Our values guide how we show up: Prioritize People, Relentlessly Pursue Excellence, Improve Lives, Do What’s Right, Be Accountable, and Serve Our Communities.
The Technical Writer & QA Specialist is responsible for elevating the clarity, consistency, and client-readiness of Aldrich Solutions’ deliverables across service lines—including strategy, technology, cybersecurity/risk, and org/change engagements. This role combines strong editorial skill with structured quality assurance to ensure work products are:
- Clear and persuasive for executive and stakeholder audiences
- Consistent in terminology, structure, and presentation across sections and artifacts
- Accurate and defensible with no internal contradictions, broken references, or unsupported claims
This role does not require deep subject-matter expertise in cybersecurity or consulting. Instead, success depends on the ability to quickly understand complex content, apply disciplined QA methods, and surface inconsistencies or inaccuracies so the engagement team can resolve them before client delivery.
You'll Get a Chance To
- Edit reports, assessments, presentations, executive readouts, and supporting documentation for grammar, structure, readability, and tone.
- Strengthen flow and executive narrative while preserving technical meaning and analytical integrity.
- Ensure acronyms, terms, and key concepts are introduced and used consistently across documents and slides.
- Format and standardize deliverables in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint using styles, templates, headings, tables, and layout best practices.
- Apply Aldrich Solutions templates and brand standards (fonts, spacing, headers/footers, slide layouts, table styles).
- Maintain and improve reusable templates, standard sections, and a lightweight style guide to increase consistency and speed.
- Perform structured QA reviews to identify:
- Conflicting statements (scope, objectives, approach, results, recommendations, timelines)
- Mismatched numbers, dates, system names, labels, or stakeholder references
- Inconsistent terminology, definitions, or rating/priority language
- Broken cross-references, incorrect captions, missing appendices, or misaligned tables
- Unsupported conclusions (e.g., executive summary claims not backed by analysis/findings)
- Cross-check alignment among deliverable components (exec summary, findings, recommendations, roadmaps, risk registers, RACI charts, operating models, change plans, appendices).
- Flag issues and questions clearly, route them to the responsible consultant/SME, and track resolution through completion.
- Partner with engagement teams to manage drafts, review cycles, and version control to support on-time delivery.
- Track comments, changes, and approvals; help teams converge quickly on final language and final-format outputs.
- Capture recurring issues and improve repeatable QA checklists and templates.
What You Bring to the Team
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing, editing, documentation, proposal development, or quality assurance for professional deliverables in a complex domain (consulting, technology, engineering, compliance, finance, or similar).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (styles, templates, TOC, section formatting) and strong proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated experience producing polished client-facing deliverables with strong formatting and presentation quality.
- Demonstrated ability to review complex content and identify inconsistencies, gaps, and errors.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting consulting-style outputs (executive readouts, assessments, roadmaps, operating model documentation, change communications, governance/RACI artifacts).
- Familiarity with basic concepts in one or more areas: business strategy, process improvement, technology delivery, data/analytics, risk/compliance, cybersecurity, organizational design, and change management (helpful but not required).
- Experience with document collaboration and version control (SharePoint/Teams, Google Workspace, Confluence).
- Experience building templates, style guides, checklists, and repeatable QA workflows.
