Revit Content (Summer Temporary Position)

We are a software company looking for a bright and driven temporary, part-time Revit content creator to join our team for the summer.

Our company develops and sells high-end professional landscape architecture software – specifically, add-on programs for AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit – to landscape architects, irrigation designers, architects, and engineers. We started as a father-son duo working out of a garage, and now have the best-in-class software used by thousands of professionals in dozens of countries, served by a growing staff of more than 25 employees.

This position entails padding out our vast library of Revit families for our Planting F/X plugin. To begin, much of the work will involve starting with our existing family setup and making new versions based on our existing AutoCAD library of tree and shrub symbols. At other times, the family content creation will consist of expanding the symbol library to include new plans and elevation/3D visual representations. This role will allow for creativity as we guide the direction of landscape design documentation in Revit.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Revit is required. Proficiency in Rhino is a bonus. 
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and organized in order to meet deadlines.
• Applicants must reside in and be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities:

• Rework existing Revit families to upgrade to new standards and best Revit practices.
• Using AutoCAD linework, plant images, or hand-drawn graphics as a guide, create standardized Revit families from an existing family template.
• Maintain files in a shared office folder structure. 
• Cross-check the created Revit tree and shrub families to ensure they are accurate, current, and functioning correctly in the plugin.

Must Submit:

• Résumé.
• Sample files of your work in .rvt or .rfa.
• Rate your proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit, each on a scale of 1–10.
• Date when you can start.

Position Type: Part-time summer temporary position.

Other Position Information: This position offers an hourly salary of $25 – $35, depending on experience.
